Boiler ReplacementTo meet the Air Pollution Controls District'sRule 361 emission standards, and avoidviolations, staff from FM, DCS, and EHScollectively oversaw the replacement of 24boilers in 16 buildings around campus. Theproject required completion of acomprehensive engineering evaluation,securing funding of approximately $7.5M,conversion of an existing building boiler to aportable one for use during the replacementprocess, and obtaining all the necessaryregulatory approvals. Also included in thisproject was the expansion of the chilledwater loop around the Chemistry Building.
