Ellison Hall TransformerReplacementAfter completing infrared testing and noiselevel testing, it was determined thetransformer was beginning to fail. During thetwelve hour replacement project, the electricalteam shut the building down electrically, andinstalled safety grounding devices on bothsides of the system. The existing transformerwas disassembled and the core was removedfrom the vault. The replacement transformercore was then moved into the vault, and theconductors were re-terminated. After allconnections and voltage were checked andconfirmed, they energized the replacementtransformer, restoring power to Ellison andBuchanan Halls.
